Brett R. Hummer - Partner

Since joining May Oberfell Lorber in 2006, Brett has litigated cases in 10 states while helping Indiana and Michigan businesses with matters involving human resources, employment, employment discrimination, EEOC guidance, corporate counseling, commercial and business disputes, and more. Brett’s experience includes litigating complex state and federal lawsuits on behalf of various businesses in Northern Indiana’s RV, modular housing, manufacturing, healthcare, and banking industries, among others. His attentive and productive diligence has earned him recognition as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star for four consecutive years, and the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce named him in the 2015 "Forty Under 40" class. The avid Purdue fan is on the Board of Directors for the Purdue Alumni Club of St. Joseph Valley, and is a Michiana native.

  • Successfully represented a CEO and his vacation rental company by obtaining summary judgment on a defamation claim asserted by a software vendor
