Ms. Erin Daugherty of the Notre Dame Law School trial program is the recipient of the 2018 Arthur A. May Award. A Michigan native, she graduated from Benedictine College, cum laude, with degrees in Economics, Political Science and Philosophy.

While at NDLS, Ms. Daugherty has been an assistant rector at Breen-Phillips Hall. She has interned with the St. Joseph County Prosecutor and with a Federal Judge in North Carolina. Upon graduation, she expects to begin her practice with the prosecutor’s office in Charlotte.

The award was established in 1994 by May Oberfell Lorber, in cooperation with the Law School. It is given annually to a member of the trial team who demonstrates a commitment to professional ethical standards and who exhibits excellence in trial advocacy. These are the values shared with us by the late Mr. May during his distinguished career.

We wish the very best to Erin Daugherty as she embarks on her own distinguished career as a Notre Dame Lawyer.
